What is RARA Fresh?

RARA Fresh is the gently cooked pet food using human grade ingredients only

All of our meals are customised for your pet based on size, weight, energy level, and overall heath. 80%- 90% of our recipe ingredients are sourced from local farms. Our dry ingredients (seeds and superfoods) are sourced from premium suppliers and our fish and omega oil are from our own ethical partnerships.

We are a subscription service that delivers ready-to-serve, fresh-cooked meals that are personalised according to your dog’s nutritional needs. Shipping is always free, and your pup’s meals are delivered fresh to your door based on a delivery frequency that you choose in your account.

How much does it cost to feed my pet fresh food?

Price depends on factors such us your dogs age, weight, size and activity level. We calculate and customise the perfect meal plan for each dog. We have found the cost of feeding our freshly cooked pet food is equal or even cheaper than most kibble and canned dog food on the market and much healthier (less vet bills!).

How are our meals made?

Our meals are scientifically formulated by an international team of veterinary nutritionist to exceed AAFCO standards. We use fresh, human-grade ingredients and add in all the important nutrients for your dog to ensure the perfect ratio of healthy neutrition.

Our process is unique! Our meals are prepared with stringent quality controls, where each recipe is gently cooked in small batches. We test every batch and vacuum pack to lock in freshness and nutrients.

Do our meals meet AAFCO standards?

Our manufacturing process is supervised by our vet partner to ensure we exceed standards set by AAFCO’s Dog and Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages.

Is RARA Fresh raw? No!!!! Raw meat poses food safety risks for pets!

Potential contamination through pathogens and bacteria are common. Some raw food companies may not produce balanced food, which may lead to dogs getting long-term deficiencies in certain nutrients.

Many pets are particularly sensitive to a raw diet and are not be able to eat raw meat.

RARA is a fresh, a gently cooked diet. Our meats and vegetables are prepared the same way we would cook our own food. Our dry ingredient such as seeds, oils, herbs and other superfoods are added raw.

RARA Fresh meals are the best of all worlds: completely balanced meals, made from fresh ingredients, with minimal risk of bacteria and pathogens, and gentle on sensitive tummies.

How do I know that your food is appropriate for my pet’s specific needs?

Our veterinary-derived algorithm will calculate the specific needs for your dog based on the profile that you provide. We tailor for weight loss or weight gain goals and consider your pet’s age, weight, and activity level to determine their approximate metabolism and caloric needs. In addition to specific needs health conditions, (for example, pregnancy, we will provide the special pregnancy meal for your pet to ensure she will get extra high level nutrition during her pregnancy period).

Are your meals appropriate for pets with certain medical issues?

We believe with the correct nutritional diet, most medical issues can be prevented or improved. We are happy to discuss your pet’s needs and work directly with our veterinary nutrition team, to see how we can help to provide great outcomes. We always recommend consulting with your veterinarian as they have your pet’s full medical history and best understanding for their specific needs.

Why feed RARA Fresh over another type of pet food?

Our recipes don’t contain artificial preservatives, fillers, “meal” protein, or by-products which you’ll find in the nutrition list for kibble or canned foods.

All of your dog’s pouch are gently cooked to ensure maximum nutrient retention and reduce the risk of harmful bacteria (especially for puppies, kittens, senior pets, or pets with compromised immune systems) associated with other raw foods.

A healthy food diets should offer your dog a shinier coat, healthier skin, smaller stools, brighter eyes, more energy, and excitement for meal time.

How do I transition my dog to RARA Fresh?

Many dogs don’t need any transition with RARA Fresh.

Our veterinary partners have created a food transaction guide for all picky eaters. Inside your starter pack, we will include the step-by-step guide on transitioning your dog. The process generally takes about a week. We will start with replacing 25% of your previous food for 2 days, to 50% of previous food for 2 days and 75% for another 2 days.

At the end of a week, you should be able to replace all of your previous food with RARA. Persevere, it’s more than worth it.

What if my Pet’s a picky eater or likes variety?

In our experience, even the pickiest of eaters go crazy for RARA Fresh. However, if you’re not sure or your dog is an extremely fussy eater, We recommend trying our starter box, which contains a full week of meal, with all meal varieties.

Do you provide samples of your food?

Yes, we provide the variety small samples, so your dog can try all our product to find out which is his/her favourite.

Can I cook fresh at home?

Unless you have the correct knowledge related to pet nutrition, we don’t recommend cooking fresh food for dogs at home for long term. It’s hard to know if your pet is getting the exact nutrients they need. All our recipes are expertly formulated by our team of board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist and PhD Vetenarians.


how do I set up and account?

Simply visit our website and follow the simple steps to create a profile and an account for you dog(s).

How do you calculate how much my dog should eat?

Our veterinary-derived algorithm will calculate how much your dog should be eating based on their profile. Factors like current weight, age, activity level and body shape help our algorithm calculate the daily calorie intake your dog needs to maintain their ideal weight and health.

If your dog’s profile changes or you think we haven’t quite nailed it. Let us know. We’ll update their serving sizes to create the perfect fit.


How should I store RARA Fresh?

You don’t need a fridge unless you open our food.
RARA Fresh uses aviation technology in the preparation of our meals.
This means you can store our food for up to 90 days at room temperature, in a cupboard or pantry.
Once opened you need to store unused food in the fridge for 2 days.
Our treats can be stored for up to 6 months in your cupboard.


Do you ship nationwide?

Our RARA service extends to over 70% if Australia’s population. You can check whether we ship to your area as soon as you start our sign-up process.

If we don’t yet ship to your area, send us an email. We’ll contact you when we expand to your area.

When do you deliver?

Your delivery 2 times every week in Sydney metro regions, to ensure your dog’s pouch is fresh. Once each box is shipped. You will receive a email.

If our standard delivery schedule does not meet your needs, you can let us know and we’ll create a schedule that suits you!

Do I need to be at home?

Enjoy worry-free delivery with RARA. Our deliveries come to you via our cold-courier service. Our reusable box will keep the food frozen at the right temperature for up to 12hours. Which mean it will stay fresh until you arrive home.

Need to receive RARA at a specific location?

If you want our deliveries to always arrive when you are at home or work, you can choose a suitable delivery day that suit your exact needs at checkout or through your RARA Account.

Is your delivery packaging environmentally friendly?

Yep, our insulated box is recyclable and reusable. We encourage our RARA customers to leave previous bags at the door for us to collect and we provide the credits for our customer to reuse our insulated bags as well.

What to do if I am away on holiday?

If your dog travels with you, you can transport your pouches with you in our reusable insulation box.

If you ask a friend to take care of your dog, you can reschedule and change the address to you friends place, so you dog can be well-fed during your trip.

what to do if a delivery doesn’t arrive or you can’t find it

We will leave your delivery at the entrance of your place, or reception. If you prefer, we can also leave it at a specified place you request.

If you can’t find your order, please contact us at 0493 258 882, we will send a new order to you as soon as we receive your call within 24-48 hours.


How do I change my meal plan?

Simply visit our website and log in to your profile and change and update your meal plan there.

Can I add dogs?

Simply visit our website and log in to your profile and add the dog there.

Is there a delivery charge?

For normal deliveries the cost is built in to your meal plan.

What if I want a Refund?

We offer a full refund policy if you don’t see the benefits of our fresh diet within 30 days of receiving your first order.
